Ami & David

Ever since my arrival in Atlanta I have lived Intown. My first two homes were rentals in Old Fourth Ward. When I met my husband, suddenly my tiny home on Highland Avenue with a postage stamp sized yard just wasn’t practical for two adults and three large dogs to live in!

I was adamant about having an older home. I grew up in a 1920’s bungalow in a historic neighborhood in Montgomery, Alabama. What drew me to Capitol View was not only the fact that it is close to downtown and has amazing historic homes, but that there is a lot of potential to be realized here. There is an eccletic mix of residents, two wonderful parks nearby (Perkerson and Emma Millican) and it is less than a mile from the proposed Beltline project!

My husband and I fell in love with our house the first time we saw the interior and grounds. Our house is a 102 year old Folk Victorian situated on 1.3 acres. Where else in the city can you still find that much land for a great price? The house still needs a lot of work, but we’ve already come a long way. We are thrilled at the prospect of our home being restored to its former glory, and at being part of such an exciting time for Capitol View.
