The Board of Education Special Legislative Meeting on April 30, 2012. The two major resolutions of this meeting were that the children of Summerhill would attend Parkside and the approval of the authorization to Abolish Positions within the Curriculum and Instruction Division, Create Positions and Execute a Transition Plan.

To cap things off Governor Deal signed into law legislation bill, HB 797 which provide additional educational opportunities through state charter schools.
